Anomaly stop–motion animation

This stop–motion animation illustrates the theme Anomaly because the built space is imaginative and funky, with interrupted scenes and mixed mediums. The portal transitions illustrate anomaly because the fully digital medium is interrupted by real life, by switching to camera perspective, which is uncommon for this third wall between the viewer and creator to be broken.

This composition encompasses mini anomalies within a main anomaly where they are all happening simultaneously. This composition uses figure and ground through the visual hierarchy and color of the main character and the path. There is similarity because although there are changing scenes, there are repeated elements to connect one scene to the next. This composition illustrates isomorphic correspondence because the falling shards and falling character evoke an unsettling feeling. This composition illustrates closure through separated elements eventually assembling in an organized manner.
